KFx TO HOLD INVESTOR UPDATE CONFERENCE CALL

DENVER, January 12, 2006 -- KFx Inc. (Amex: KFX) will hold a conference call today with investors, analysts and other interested parties to discuss initial production and tests results associated with its K-FuelTM plant in Gillette, Wyoming.
