KFx ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER 2005 RESULTS RELEASE DATE AND CONFERENCE CALL INFORMATION

DENVER, October 24, 2005 -- KFx Inc. (Amex: KFX) today announced that it plans to report results for the three months ended September 30, 2005 on the afternoon of Monday, November 7, 2005 after the market closes. The Company will also publish the release on its website at www.kfx.com. In addition, the Company will conduct a conference call with investors, analysts and other interested parties on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at 9:00 a.m., Mountain Standard Time.
